Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers defeats Walton 4-H
Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers defeated Walton 4-H 1909 to 1877 in the final match of BB Gun League Post-Season Tournament. This was the team's highest score in the entire league as well as the highest of the entire season. Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers finishes the post-season in first place, undefeated in the post season and a 6 - 1 record in the Champion division. Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers was led by Maddi Boggs who shot a 387. The remaining contributing members were Thomas Harris, Patrick Jennings, Collin Grubbs, and Morgan Frank. Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers is from Bowden, GA, and is coached by Scott Carroll.
Walton 4-H dropped to 1 - 1 for the post-season. They finish the post-season in second place. Walton 4-H was led by Matthew Wood who shot a 389. The remaining contributing members were Brycen Gran, Lucy Peters, Preston Hall, and Jordan Smothers. Walton 4-H is from Monroe, GA, and is coached by William Carlan.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award goes to Thomas Harris. The MVP is awarded to the athlete on the winning team who had the highest average during the post-season. In Carroll County's first post-season game, Harris shot a 384. Then followed it up with a 385 in the championship game.
This was the league championship game for the Orion National BB Gun League. After an eight week regular season, where teams from across the country competed in a round robin win-loss league format, the top four teams were invited to the post-season. The two winners from last week’s semi-final round advanced to this week’s championship game.
