Walton 4-H defeats Appling Bulldogs
Walton 4-H defeated Appling Bulldogs 1874 to 1873 in the BB Gun League Post-Season Tournament, moving on to the final round where they will face Carroll County Guns-n-Clovers. Walton 4-H was led by Matthew Wood who shot a 385. The remaining contributing members were Lucy Peters, Preston Hall, Brycen Gran, and Jordan Smothers. Walton 4-H is from Monroe, GA, and is coached by William Carlan.
Appling Bulldogs finished the season with a 7 - 1 record and the regular season Distinguished Division champions. With their success this year they are guaranteed a spot in the Champions Division next season. Outside the league, Appling Bulldogs will compete this week in the Georgia 4-H State Championship. Their team was led by Madysen McLellan who shot a 380. The remaining contributing members were Ally Atkinson, Ethan Carter, Susan Carter, and Kyleigh Thompson. Appling Bulldogs is from Baxley, GA, and is coached by Jeffrey McLellan.
This match comes from the semi-final round of the Orion National BB Gun League post-season tournament. After an eight week regular season, where teams from across the country competed in a round robin win-loss league format, the top four teams were invited to the post-season. The winners of the semi-final round will advance to the championship game, starting April 11.
